I get your post, and why you would say that. But the game was close enough at that point that SC wasn't out of it.
My point is/was, if you could point to one play or plays where the game got away from SC, this was that series of events. That's all. Nothing more, nothing less.

The whistle was super late and awful.
It was definitely targeting.

Don't worry. Bama fans assured us that targeting the face of the quarterback with the crown of the defender's helmet after the throw is not, in fact, targeting.
