Well you did injure Rohan Davey out of bounds and made us bring in backup who kicked your arse as you hadn’t schemed for him at all. Beautiful night. Tiger fans were outnumbered but were loud as hell.

No it didn’t. It started when we fired Phil and hired Kiffin knowing that Kiffin would leave if USC opened. And even while it was clear Carrol was doomed at USC and Lane had told Hamilton he would leave if USC offered Hamilton did nothing. The true downfall was the moment we were left high and dry and Hamilton who should’ve had a plan in place did nothing. The rest is a history of bad hire after bad hire.

To put it into perspective, the only coach with a winning record that we’ve hired since Kiffin was Butch and as bad as Butch was he still nearly turned things around. College football is about coaches and always has been and until we nut up and hire a real one we will continue to fail.

The only curse is a bunch of idiots in power more interested in their internal games than the actual program. A real coach is all it takes to change things.

I’m not sure Tennessee will recover from these sanctions. Already seemed like a near lost cause but now they’re going to get hammered with bowl bans and scholarship losses.

And yet the entire SEC schedule is still held hostage by the 3rd Saturday in October.
