Franklins is good but overhyped and not worth the wait. Lots of other great options, LaBBQ, Stiles Switch, and Micklethwait would be my advice. Continental Club is still legit though. Town overall has gone from slowly going to crap to taking the express train. Used to be funky weird but live and let live, now it's a freak show with leftists and homeless people that want to scream at you and steal your stuff.

Agreed, now it's just another shithole city rapidly trying to match L.A. and San Francisco for suckage.

Someone posted a quote on the old shaggybevo that said "people that come from places that suck bring some of the suck with them." In my opinion that's what happened to Austin and is happening/happened to lots of other places in the US that were once nicer.

Asstin is San Francisco-east without the ocean, Golden Gate and the pretty scenery.

Austin is a sh!t hole. If you want good BBQ go to Lockhart, Franklins is not worth the wait. You will see homeless everywhere in Austin it was like LA last time I was there
