There is something that I'm blaming Nick Saban for

And I'm pretty sure we can all agree on this. I blame Nick Saban for the success of Paul finebaum. That big eared idiot was a virtual unknown who rode the coattails of Alabama's success all the way to ESPN. If it weren't for Nick Saban building that dynasty no one outside of the state of Alabama and more likely the city of Birmingham would have ever known who Paul finebaum was. Damn you Nick for that.

Nah. He was already pretty popular when Auburn had a streak over Bama.

Popular where? Birmingham

Paul’s show was actually better back when Alabama and Auburn was in chaos and turmoil. He used to break quite a bit of news back then. The calls are tame now compared to what they used to be. Paul himself has changed a lot. Paul has mellowed out a lot compared to what he was back in the late 90’s and early 2000’s.

I used to listen to him on Jox every day. There were some funny folks on that show. Everything Espn touches turns to crap.

Given his looks and personality, it is a miracle he has had the success he’s had…he’s made a lot of money over the years, and I’ve yet to figure out why…

Well Paul used to actually act like a real journalist and was pretty good about breaking news. He is just a radio host now that doesn’t do anything really special.

Just like the democrats or the federal government

Agree. Finebaum is such a retarded embarrassment.

I remember the days when Vickers was his sidekick. Paul was much more of a troll back then compared to now. He would make up names for coaches. He called Tubs "wingnut" for instance.

Why was he in Birmingham? Didn't he graduate from Tennessee? He could have done that in the State of Tennessee somewhere. That was weird one for him to be in Birmingham unless he grew up in Alabama.

You must really like him to be listening to him back then.

People don’t give a shite about their alma mater or home state when it comes to money, their career, or other opportunities. Fans often have a hard time grasping this because many have never been offered an opportunity to significantly improve their life by working for a different college or moving out of state.
Fans and colleges are no different on the flip side, though. That 3 star QB from Auburn High School who grew up going to every AU game and football camp and has posters all over his wall and wore Auburn shite all the time can go kick rocks if there’s a 5 star QB from Los Angeles willing to sign.
People are only as loyal as their options.
