I 100% believe Saban would have lost the UGA game. I honestly can't remember the last time he won a heavily hyped regular season game against a good team. Maybe the game at A&M with Manziel.
But if he ever lost to Vandy like that I think he'd have taken the first NFL job that called on Monday. Which is what DeBoer would do if he had any self respect, but I guess he doesn't.

Saban owned Kirby. He was 5-1 against him. Not sure how you could come to that prognostication.

How many times did Saban and Kirby meet in the regular season? Unless I'm forgetting one there's only 2020, which barely counts.
Post season Saban was different (until the last few years anyway) but he routinely shite the bed in big regular season games:
2010-USCe, LSU, Auburn
2011-LSU
2012-A&M
2013-Auburn
2014-Ole Miss
2015-Ole Miss
2017-Auburn
2019-LSU, Auburn
2021-A&M (Worst loss of Saban's tenure imo)
2022-Tennessee, LSU
2023-Texas
What he never did, though, was lose to Vanderbilt.
