Elko is very different than JImbo in this regard and he has spoken on it repeatedly and this list proves that point. It's not like A&M couldn't spend a lot more money on a player but they have chosen to spend moderate money on a broader span of players. Concepcion was probably the biggest last cycle but he still wasn't Top 25. Craver. Howell. Boerkircher. Those are the types of guys he is targeting that were generally underutilized talents he saw that could fit with what his needs were.

Uh, no. They will always go as cheap as they can but if Elko needs a player, he's gonna pay premium.
