The state of Alabama now has an AAU member

This use to pretty much be a requirement to be in the Big 10.

Five universities in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) are members of the Association of American Universities (AAU): Vanderbilt University, University of Florida, University of Missouri, Texas A&M University, and the University of Texas at Austin.

Congrats to UAB for receiving an invitation to join the Association of American Universities, becoming Alabama’s first and only AAU member institution.
