Lol, shows what you know about research.
Dude, I've been a scientist since before you were born (almost 30 years now). I've read more scientific papers than you can shake a stick at and had more stats class than I can count...
But go ahead and think you know more than I do...

Sounds like you have a vendetta against south carolina fans. Haven't they been A&M rival since expansion?
Do you remember my list of teams ranked by how much I like them?
South Carolina was number two. Despite your attempts to change my opinion of them, they're still my second-favorite team in the SEC>

Just post the original data and be done with it. That's what a real scientist would do. They're say these are the results. There appear to be some abnormalities and let folks decide for themselves.
In a peer review format. you'd get crucified for altering the results without also posting the original data to go along with it. The data IS the data. You can manipulate it with stats later, but to simply say, I don't THINK this is right is not a valid approach.

If you really have been a scientist for 30 years (and let's not pretend that anything on the Rant is scientific), you would know that rule number one is to only include valid data. Vanderbilt went 12-0. South Carolina went 12-0. Texas A&M went 0-12. Texas went 0-12.
Any of those sound suspect?
Be a guy...stop being a dick over a dumbass internet poll.
It's going to be fun watching the Gamecocks get their skulls grounded into dust by the Aggies this year.

Who decides what's valid?
Hint: That's why the call it PEER review...

Here's the point. What if some folks really thought that's what their teams were going to do? How do you validate that? You just said "that can't be real" and threw it out? How do you know?

I'm not being a dick. I'm handing our free education. You just don't like the lesson being taught.

1. Being a dick and educating people are not mutually exclusive.
2. Clearly, we get what we pay for.

Sir, I say this with respect, because I understand that this is important you, but you don't seem to get it: Even if some folks did think Vandy was going to go 12-0 and answered like that in the Vandy poll, the vast majority of people in the other polls voted against them. It all comes out eventually in the final result.
Science is not about throwing raw data at people. It's about taking the raw data and analyzing it (not just looking at it) to draw conclusions.

but it's also being transparent about what the RAW data was to begin with.
And you're dealing with opinions, and a persons OPINION can't be wrong or invalid.
IF you're going to alter the data without posting all of it why have a poll to begin with and just say this is what I think the results will be? Because unless when can see the baseline for ourselves we don't know to what extent you've altered it.
See the problem there?

I don't think LSU goes 12-0, but its not unrealistic.
We are vegas favorites in 11/12 games.
The one we are currently dogs in is Texas A&M. We are +1.5 as of today

Strange to think we won’t be playing LSU this season.

And I'm not saying the transformation of the data is inappropriate. I'm saying present the raw results and let folks decide for themselves.

This is why doing polls like this is a waste of time.
All results should be included and then you create your margin of error to account for suspect results.
OP has clearly expressed prejudice of other schools so how can we trust OP to remove results without bias.

Precisely and exactly my point.

Sir (and I'm using that word not in a facetious way), if it really is that important to you, I will post the raw results, but it won't be today because I have to dig them out of the individual surveys. I just ask that you please stop spamming this board with complaints about my process and let it be about the results that were shown.

Because I'm one of the most honest guys on here.
Trust me, I would've had Texas going 8-4 if it was my choice.
