It also looked like Mich St. was severely underpowered against us. Maybe Big 10 players aren't as strong as they think they are

nah the speeds a myth. penn states white boy was toasting florida dbs.
one time he got behind 2 florida dbs and mcccejlory underthrew him and it got tipped and all tirico said was "look at the speed of the florida defense"
so frustrating to hear stuff like that
There is no speed difference at the skill positions. Big 11/12/10/Leaders/Legends O-linemen are just slow as frick and get skull fricked by SEC D-linemen most of the time. Anyone can find fast little guys, but the fast big guys primarily live in the South + Texas.

Nah. We just came out angry and looking to hurt someone. Michigan State was the unfortunate sacrificial lamb. Plus they have 0 talent on defense outside of Greg Jones.

The teams at the top of the SEC: Auburn, Alabama and Arkansas are all very good teams with good to great offense and defense. I do not include LSU due to their weak offense. LSU, MSU, Florida and SC have good defenses but lack consistent offense. But because of their defenses, they can play with most teams. So you have 7 SEC teams that are good to outstanding. This is what makes the SEC the best conference. Four SEC teams, Florida, LSU, Alabama and Tennessee have won one or more NC's in the last 10 years. If Auburn wins this year, that will make 5.
The Pac 10 is usually dominated by one great team, USC, though Oregon has taken up the flagship recently with USC under sanctions. Stanford is very strong as well with Harbaugh at the helm.
The Big 10 has traditionally been dominated by OSU or Michigan. And it is good to see more balance in the Big 10 this season. OSU, Wisconsin, MSU and Iowa are all good teams. Unfortunately for the Big 10, they got matched up against better teams in the bowl games this season.
The Big 12 is generally dominated by Texas or OU. Inexplicably, Texas had a very bad season. OU has a habit of choking in big games. Fortunately for them they met an undermanned UConn in the Fiesta.
The ACC is comprised of mostly smaller academic oriented schools and will likely never compete at the highest level in football. They are probably the best basketball conference, however. VT and FSU will dominate that conference in football due to their football traditions. But the best of the ACC, VT, looked very weak vs Stanford last night.
The Big East was decimated by the exodus of its best teams to the ACC and since the ACC is one of the weakest football conferences, that alone tells you how weak the Big East is. Its debatable whether the Big East should retain its auto BCS bid.

All I know is that they were dropping faster than LSU players out there

It is interesting that you left LSU out of the top SEC teams yet they beat bama head to head and only lost to auburn by one score offense or not give credit where it is due

No shite man. People act like Bama is the greatest ever for stomping MSU. They had a great game, to be a great team you need to be consistent over the course of a year. You can't possibly list LSU below Bama this year even though LSU's offense is suspect they have great D and ST.

My take on the game is that Arkansas is not quite as good as people think and tOSU is better than people think.
IMO LSU should have beaten Arkansas. Georgia probably should have too, and probably would have with AJ Green.
tOSU could have beaten Wisconsin. I was at that game and I can tell you that Wisconsin had been laying in wait, came out all jacked up, put up like 21 first half points and then held on for the victory. They made plays down the stretch to fend tOSU off, don't get me wrong. But without home field advantage, I don't think they would be in a position to ice the game like that.
Anyways.....Mallett has a strong enough arm to find the gaps in tOSU's zone defense. However, what tOSU can do is stay disciplined, stay in position, and make Mallett work for it.
If they can do that, then they might get a turnover or two. Or at least hold Arkansas to FGs.
And we all know that Arkansas' defense isn't that good. Ohio State's line should overpower them, and Pryor has the ability to make plays with his arm and his feet. Ohio State's offense should do quite well in this game, actually. The x-factor is Pryor, himself, who is inconsistent to say the least.

Agreed. I do not see how you can leave LSU off that list. Even if they struggle on Offense their defense keeps them in it and usually they find a way to pull out the win.
