Well, there we have it. UGA is a lock to win it all this year. I was waiting for the evidence and now I have it. Go Dawgs!

Which was 1920.

1919, we were national champions. Aggie jokes are essentially just a precursor to the “Response Thread”.

No, you were not.

You were retroactively named a national champion sometime in the 80s/90s and claimed it in 2012.

The people on that team were long dead before this "championship" was acknowledged by their own school.

Did not know this. Any respectable university would have said, thanks, but no thanks. LSU has a similar claim to three that I know of, but have respectfully declined the offer to officially claim them.

A&M, just wow.

I'm pretty sure UGA and A&M played a bowl game during Richts tenure.

That is correct. Got whooped in that too.

However, that was a neutral site. Our game this year is in Athens.

Don't forget their gump cheerleaders.
What an insecure, pathetic display.

So, that motherfrick should refuse to claim 1970, right?

Yeah, cuz they awarded the BCS trophy in 1970

...maybe they did to the rightful champions, Nebraska, losers.

1919 is MUCH more legitimate.

Did you attend the 2012 parade when you claimed two national championships dreamed up in 1988?
