ehh. Depends on what LSU fan you talk to. My gf is from BR and both sides of her parents' families are from Kenner/Metairie and HUGGGE Tigah fans. Great people. Every single one of her uncles consider OM the closest thing LSU has to a real rival.
I asked them why that is and they said its bc they remember the battles from back in the day and all of the tradition in the rivalry. TIFWIW but this is coming from a group of about 8 season ticket holders.
