You described AU this time last year.

I did not say you cannot win, period. I am holding your team to the same standard you have applied to Coker. I don't know about your team. Pray enlighten us all. But when you run on about inexperienced potential players, that won't cut it.

Except our team has played. Coker has not

There sure are a lot of auburn and LSU fans in this thread....
So you've resorted to citing information from a beat writer as if it's credible information? This whole thread is full of fricking lulz. Just remember GMAC went undefeated and won a NC at BAMA... Coker only needs to be serviceable to win 10 games and if he can play above average we can make a run at the NC.
I would guess the Beat Writer is a little closer to the program than you. The old days of just having a serviceable QB and winning a NC are over. When GMAC won it, Bama only had played a UF team who could score point at a high rate. This year they will play at least 5 teams the run a fast pace Offense (some very well), so the QB will have to win some games with his play alone.

See above. Tell me all about these Orange and Blue worldbeaters.

Do you understand that Auburn has 2 running backs with 1200 combined yards last season vying to replace Mason? Do you think that puts us in the same position as Bama trying to replace the GOAT QB (anointed by your fans last December) with a former 3* player that's never started a game?

That defense that shut out LSU would choke out most of these high powered offenses. After watching us at ADay, I think this defense potentially can be much better than last years, especially up front.

Our Adays were on at the same time...I missed it

I understand that Auburn has NO running back that could break into the rotation at Alabama today. You have ONE WR that could, and NO TE that can play at Bama. And before this year is done the Alabama OLine will be a strength.

We have RBs that don't fumble so I bet they would.
RB is not a concern...we return 2600 yards of rushing so we will be just fine.

With regard to your comment on the staff not being confident in the future Bateman and Cornwell--Cornwell specifically:
At this point in time, how could the staff have formed a sufficient basis of opinion on a true freshman QB that just stepped on campus?? I dont even know if Cornwell has even started his first round summer workouts. He hasnt even had an opportunity to prove himself let alone compete for the starting job because Saban doesnt start true freshman QBs... That comment makes absolutely no sense.

Our quarterback would beat anybody that you have on your roster and damn near rushed for as many yards as Yeldon.
And how long has Coker been on campus? Sure there's tons of game film on him but...

Parkjas you are deluded, what back do you have that could beat out any RB in our rotation? And don't say Grant,he had to leave Bama already because he couldn't play.
And when you talk returning RB's stats, you don't include Marshall. Artis-Bench and CantcutitatBama barely had more than Yeldon alone.

Please refer to my previous posts... I have not openly supported any of Coker's praise. The comment you just responded to was specifically related to Cornwell only.

Not you, your comments have been quite reasonable. Anitbarner claims that breaking in running backs that have played for 2-3 years I a system or JUCO WR is the same as breaking in a new starting QB.
I personally don't think Coker will be bad or fantastic. And yes, Bama can win as long as he is decent.

That is the mantra every year from Bama. The next you will hear is how this is the best Defense since 92. It happens every year.
