Yeah, what's your point? People are laughing at the B1G because they just can't seem to realize how terrible their branding effort is.
ETA: You don't just "create" names and trophies out of thin air to make people believe two teams playing eachother means something. Yall are innovators in the field of phoniness.

People were going to laugh at the title of this rivalry game anyways. It's better than the battle for the corn or some shite.

I actually disagree. I was hoping it'd have something like that. This is infinitely worse.

If it was up to me, there'd be no rivalry 'name' at all.. or a trophy.
NU-IA is going to be a big game between the schools regardless of it has a name for it or not.

Yeah... not saying it's a great name by any means.
Just think some people are reading just a tad too much into it.
I will say they could've still presented a trophy and done something for the heroes they plan to honor.
I just don't get this at all. Why bring even more negative attention to the conference, even if there is a logical reasoning behind the name?

Agreed.
They could've gone with Battle of the Cornfield or something natural like that for a game like this, and still done their 'heroes' thing.

The weird thing is...........coming from Iowa, the VAST majority thinks the names (Legends and Leaders, Heroes Game, etc.) are just plain stupid.
I don't understand how the "powers that be" ever thought this was a good idea and I really don't get why they've continued to railroad this junk through to fruition.
