Meh. If Saban goes, I don't think money will be the deciding factor.

Apparently you think you can only use ticket money to pay a coach

I agree with this. Bama can match virtually any offer. The only way Saban leaves is if he wants a new challenge. Being the first coach to win a title at three different schools has to be tempting. Like all coaches, he has a huge ego.

That of course doesn't mean he's gone. But I do agree that if he leaves, it's about more than money.

You don't think ego would factor into the decision at all? Rebuilding three programs, possibly winning nattys at three separate schools?

You don't think what the ole ball coach has said about the pressure to keep winning would factor in at all with Saban? Look at the Bama fan reactions to losing the Iron Bowl. If Saban went to Texas it would be a refreshing start, with a different type of pressure.

I'm sure the fastfood industry will be fine if you took 5 minutes to explain your drooling delusions.

He's already the first to do it at two. There are plenty of things no one has ever done before, that he could be the first. He could be the first coach to go 15-0, for example. And he could do it without uprooting his life.

Saban created the pressure he's experiencing now at Alabama. He will be walking into a new form of pressure with Texas' commercialized Disney program. I'm thinking he'd prefer the former.

Meh. Could be. I just don't see why the alternative is such an outrageous claim.

A 63 year old man will totally dig Austin's yuppie live music scene. Right.

Not that anyone cares but I believe this to be correct. This here is the reason (if it even happens) - any greater amount of money at Texas will be marginal (relatively of course).
