Your greatest coach across all men's sports in school history would rather be at Texas. Ouch.

Very few players have ever followed the PoS. Because he is an a-hole, and after a few years with him, they prefer to go a different direction. The only players Texas has "flipped" are recruits that don't know that yet

Not a single active player on the roster followed him. Think about that.

I think your claim that coaches don't like A&M is pretty stupid. We've never had trouble hiring coaches, and rarely are we unable to retain them.

The fanbase at A&M is pretty devoted and any coach would have that then an empty stadium en route to a 63 point loss to UCLA.

This is just completely obtuse and you're better than that. Your hatred for A&M blinds you to outright logic sometimes.

A coach leaving, let alone most of the staff, certainly would mean that players could follow them. That's not unheard of. Didn't a few players do that with Deion when he took over Colorado?

I don't hate A&M.

Logic? Aggies here were telling me that Texas was trying to buy your baseball program, I said that was dumb. I asked why Aggie didn't just match the offers. Crickets.

This was never going to be some wholesale transfer, I don't understand why people thought it would be.

Players usually stay if a beloved assistant takes over, that's common.

Well normally you never had any worth going after.

And then the first time Texas wants a coach, which happened to be the greatest aggie men's athletics coach in school history, he couldn't have left fast enough

You're bringing up football scores from almost 30 years ago? Buddy... you lost to APP STATE

This is what your fanbase is:

It was money.

Your savior Chris del Kunty overpaid for a runner-up because they were butt buddies.

We've already learned the lesson of overpaying coaches.

Cunty also hired a wife-beater for your basketball team. His track record isn't the best.

Wait... so a&m, the school that supposedly has the most money ever, was going to let Texas outbid them for a coach that had accomplished more at a&m than any other coach in any sport had accomplished in 85 years?

And that guys replacement still took them to the elite 8. When's the last time a&m went that far again?

Texas beat Kansas by 26 this year.

You know... the same team that spent more weeks ranked than a&m and their #1 recruiting class ever?

A&M also lost to Kansas. And Louisiana Lafayette. And Arkansas State.

Trust me: you REALLY don't want to go there with embarrassing losses

And then ran away.
If Texas "ran away" after winning the conference in football and in 14 other sports, then what would you call a&m doing after they left in 2011 with a 6-loss record including a loss to Texas for the third time in 4 years?

These self owns are becoming DELICIOUS

Facts are this is y'all. You spend more money on athletics than almost every school in the country. And you have nothing to show for it in the big 3 sports.

But you also paid a backup QB millions. You guys are idiots. Keep licking up Kunty's splooge though cum dumpster.

Also this thread is about A&M players, not you and your swinger coach.

It's not always about you.

Texas finished No. 3 in football. Texas a&m hasn't finished that high in 85 years

Texas went to the elite 8 in basketball in 2023. Texas a&m has NEVER been that far

Texas has gone to Omaha 11 times since 2000. Texas a&m has only been 8 times ever, and just lost their best coach ever to the aforementioned school.

So if Texas has "nothing to show for it in the big 3 sports", then A&M has NEVER had anything to show for it?

Holy fricking self own

I'm a third generation Aggie with 13 family members that have graduated from Texas A&M. I've watched this crap play out more than once.

What is our leadership doing to address this and other problems within our Athletic Department? We do not look like a high-profile leader in college sports right now. We look impotent.

Texas is going to enormous lengths to hamstring our athletics program and so far we are doing jack **** about it. People treat you the way you allow them to treat you. We have some work to do to bounce back from this...but what for? Why? Are we really just going to sit around and wait for this to happen again? Make an example of these pukes.
