TIL

Glad I could help. People travel from around the globe to experience what New Orleans has to offer.
Doesn't mean the city doesn't have problems.

If a travel agency were to give away a free trip to New Orleans or any city in Alabama, where do you think the vast majority would want to go? I know it hurts...deal with it.

The problem with most rednecks I've encountered is they go to New Orleans and hang-out on Bourbon St.
Ask them if they visited a museum...no
Did they go to one of the fine restaurants...no
Did they look at the unique architecture and take pictures....no
etc..etc..etc

My experience is that better educated people tend to like the city more than rednecks because they have the money to experience all the city has to offer. Keep it up guys....I love this.

You need an intervention. That is one of the worst sentences I've ever seen.

personally i have been to new orleans and it doesnt hold a candle to huntsville which is one of the most progressive cities in the country. there are higher IQ's in the city of huntsville alone than there are total in the state of Louisiana.

My experience is that "better" educated people visit once and never want to come back unless they are alcoholic or obese.

I agree, I've been to Oktoberfest in Munich several times and I don't care what language they speak, say New Orleans and they want to try and talk to you. Allerbamer not so much. Get a grip OH boy. It's called perspective and you don't have any. You type your fingers off and you won't change the reality. Keep crying though it's entertaining

Like your family from Scott La. or North Al. ?
New Orleans isn't "real" Louisiana but Scott La. is.

Please keep this thread going...An angry redneck with roots in Scott la. ....you can't make this shite up....seriously...

So you know where I've lived, vacationed, visited for work, what level of education I have, or the people I know in the south or other countries?

I'm speaking about my personal experience, and my perspective is shaped from that. When I lived in New York, they didn't distinguish Louisiana from other southern states except from Florida, which they viewed as superior.

Tells me a lot about the people you associate with.

You told me all I need to know when you said your family from Scott La. doesn't think New Orleans is "real" Louisiana. You obviously don't have the self-awareness to realize how much you reveal about your upbringing with that statement. It's just pure gold.
