Refute that you are 4-4 in the weakest conference? Why would I refute that?

You’re a LSU fan. Right?

Texas fans could say the exact same thing about LSU.

No. Auburn undergrad (born in Auburn), then Utah and UF for advanced degrees. I have no love or hate for UF, but I did love what the women wore in Gainesville. Its just so hot down there all the time.

I hate his on-field demeanor, just no emotion of any kind when we need a leader. He gets this scared look on his face when things start going bad and it seems as if the team feeds off it.

Casey isn't a leader either. He throws his teammates under the bus after every single loss and acts like he played perfectly.

Now that we're completely out of the Big 12 title race it's time to see if Hudson can do any better.

Texas whiffed on so much talent in the trenches the trickle down effect is occurring. Strong and Herman fielded a hell of a 7 on 7 team.

I give him some first year slack. But he inherited a team full of 4 and 5 star players.

It means they whiffed on coaching if they're getting less out of their guys than Oklahoma St or Baylor gets out of their 3*s.

Herman stacked talent at some skill positions but got his arse kicked in recruiting kids in the trenches

AU under Malzahn and staff was an 8 win machine, with one of every six being special. Malzahn was well liked by players and he recruited high-character players. AU hasn't had any off-the-field issues since Chizik left.

Some of this is hyperbole I'm sure, but Harsin comes in and sends 11 players packing. Two starters that are now at Flordia. They didn't buy in and weren't doing what they needed to do. Harsin and staff also hit the portal hard. I think AU brought in 9 players. I was dissapointed initially that we didn't bring in any OL, but that group has been dare I say, good. From everything I've watched and seen, the new staff at AU tried to run people off with the off-season program and they ran off eleven. Harsin is an a-hole, but he's respected by his staff and players. Its apparent. Texas has a bigger culture problem than AU by a mile IMO, and its might take more time to overcome.

LSU - First win since 1999 in Red Stick

Ole Miss

Arky

Auburn has played hard since 2012, Chizik's last year. He lost that football team and they gave up. That was a hard season to watch, and I don't think I watched more than the first quarter of any game in 2012 past game six. I see Texas doing this consistiently in games when things go against them. That culture, not talent.

To be fair, since Herman was so hated by our boosters he wasn't able to generate as much money as A&M did for trench players.

Looks like Sark has done a bit better, but he's gonna need to open up the pocketbook for the rest of the o line talent. Can't believe we let Kelvin Banks get NIL'd to Oregon.

idk man Texas brought these coaches in because of their prior success. Culture from top to bottom is out of whack.

I like how Texas fans seem to think Banks was coming to Austin. Have you idiots realized yet your staff doesn’t really have a pulse on recruiting?

Banks' stripper wife's monkey almost bit a 10 year old trick or treaters finger off last night in Austin....so everything continues down a great path for Sark and his staff!

He was going where he got the most money. So he wasn't going to Texas unless we outbid you and Oregon. We didn't.

And just to emphasis, y'all missed out on him too.

And so who are we supposed to fire? The king of Texas high school football?

We're the flagship university in Texas, and we have to deal with the consequences of all the money in HS football in Texas these days.

Harsin is a member of the Mack Brown coaching tree . I defended his hire at Auburn during the offseason because I liked him a lot when he was at Texas.

I think our culture issue just comes from being too invested in Texas HS football. We have a single player on our offensive line 2 deep who isn't from Texas. (and he's one of the better players) Similar story on our defensive line, but at least we've got reinforcements coming in there from MS and LA.

Y'all already know about the Texas HS football trench player arguments and have seen and made them a million times over. So it stands to reason that it would hurt us the most.

I get it little brother, you cling to games played in the 40’s and 50’s when it comes to y’all and LSU

But do you really want to talk to anyone about being “owned” by Oklahoma

Maybe, but I don't think so. Texas HS football has a rep of being soft I suppose but I don't think HS football in Texas are doing anything different than LA, MS, AL, FL etc... Alabama recruits nationally so at Auburn we'll have maybe five players we'll go head-to-head each recruiting cycle, so Auburn is mostly AL, GA and FL kids with one or two outliers each class. I feel no shame in saying this, in fact I might have some pride about it. Auburn is a bit like Permian HS football in TX. Its all about culture and development. We don't sign the players Alabama signs. Who does? Historically we have to evaluate and develop players. That's just how it is. We are in the same state of arguably the greatest college football program, and yet we are only 8 losses down in our rivalry. I'm saying again that UT has a culture problem. The kids they have are fine. I don't know how or where it manifests, but if you find it and fix it it then you're talking Alabama success because you have the resources and advantages. And I don't begrudge that at all.

This is why it is important that a coach is not just a good X and O man but a total package, a true CEO. To compete in the modern game, you can't be a 1 trick pony. Hopefully Sark is the man and will have us ready when we enter the SEC.

The entire state of Texas is owned by Oklahoma. We consider it our lower cow pasture.
