Here's the thing... We would be happier losing with any of the other QBs than betting on JG at this point. He's a great kid by all accounts and can make throws that a lot of other QBs can't (that's why he will always win in practice - in terms of physical talent he's a pro prospect) but mentally he isn't there. He's honestly a sports psychologist's ultimate fixer upper because his potential is so high but we fans have seen enough. When the lights are shining, he's as likely to freeze or throw an INT as he is to throw a TD and in 5 years he hasn't changed despite everything around him changing.
High potential, high physical talent and likability or not, he's about to be the only SEC QB to get two different Head Coaches fired.
