Actually, that is exactly what it means.

The ruling is a helluva lot broader than we thought. The NCAA is restrained from doing anything NIL related. Unless I'm reading it wrong, this applies to everyone - everywhere.

No, it’s not.
It means every athlete in the state of Tennessee is free to negotiate any deal they want, with whomever they want - including individuals representing other universities.
Enjoy.

This ruling applies to every athlete, everywhere, in every state. It's not about Tenn or Virginia. The NCAA can't enforce NIL rules while the case in ongoing.

Even better.
Welcome to the Wild Wild West. Hope you’ve got your checkbooks ready. Texas does.

I'm still not convinced it only applies to us, I just said it would be funny if it's true.
It was right about that time that Tuscaloosa's head exploded.

There you go. Cope harder. You can do it. You're almost there.

What it actually means is that any player or recruit living in the state of Tennessee is free game.
This is actually wrong. If a Mississippi school does this the NCAA can technically come after them (they won't). A bunch of states will now join the lawsuit to prevent any type of advantage for Virginia/Tennesseee schools though.

Dickriding Texas because your fanbase is too piss poor to compete on an equal footing.
This is a first. NIL Dickriding!

Yeah, that is exactly what I read. Tuscaloosa was wrong.

Where is that written?
Here’s what the article says:
quote:
The decision applies while until the court case plays out. And the ruling covers the entire country, preventing the NCAA from enforcing its NIL rules against any school and giving student-athletes latitude on signing deals.
And here’s what the actual injunction states:
quote:
In his order, Corker prohibited all NCAA employees from enforcing its NIL policy and bylaws "to the extent such authority prohibits student-athletes from negotiating compensation for NIL with any third-party entity, including but not limited to boosters or a collective of boosters, until a full and final decision."
Words mean things.

That’s because you’ve got the IQ of a waterlogged tennis shoe. Try again.

Yeah, he seems like an idiot. That’s probably why I don’t interact with him much.

Then you should read up on the original lawsuit. This protects the school/collectives in these states.

I guess go tell the Knox News they’re wrong, and then explain the meaning of this:
quote:

Maybe get prof to explain it to you or something.

The ruling from that Federal judge protects a lot more than that. Read it.
