There is an argument for quitter, but traitor is ridiculous.

Who did he betray? An 18 y/o kid from GA that came into a crowded backfield with 3 other stud freshmen.

He was doing well if I recall over summer/fall camp until a knee injury. If not for that he may not have even RS'd.

Grew frustrated and impatient as a very talented player watching every game from the sidelines. Acted out a bit, found himself in the doghouse with CNS a couple times. It came to a head with a supposed incident with a potential recruit.

Kamara didn't see a clear path to the field and asked to be let go and he was, with no issue. It certainly, didn't hurt Bama and it led to some humbling experiences that proved good life lessons for Kamara.

In all, he is likely better for it. Glad he has his head on straight and wish him the best.

All that said, I selfishly wish he had stuck it out at Bama. He'd have been #1 back last year without a doubt and provided a level of experience and explosiveness that was missing.

Saints got a good one. Although, arguably, they already had 2 good ones and could have kept improving D.

Glad we drafted a RB we fricking needed some talent at the position.

Peterson/Kamara could be a really good combo

Yep, a 1,000 yard back isn't considered talented anymore.

Kamara is absolutely perfect for our offense. He's the Reggie Bush/Sproles role we've been missing.

Why would you be melting? He was a steal where you got him in the draft

I was melting because we desperately needed an edge rusher and I thought for sure we were gonna grab one there.

I watched some film on Kamara last night, I'm extremely excited with what I saw.

He went to a the perfect team for his skill set.

Why did Butch not use him more?

Initially pass pro and ball security were concerns when he came out of JUCO. After that I think it became due to the Hurd drama. We needed both backs desperately and Hurd turned into a Diva. I think AK paid the price for that. Would lay money down that had coaches known that John Kelly would take the jump that he did ahead of time - they'd have packed Hurd's bags for him before the season even started.

It's Butch. Why does he do half the things he does.

He has stepped into Les Miles' shoes as the "WTF is he doing" coach in the SEC.
