“Tampa? Might as well put it in Kansas City. Or, why not Denver? Just some random city outside the footprint.”
Last time I checked, Tampa is one of the most populous cities in the South. And FL is indeed within the SEC footprint.
FL has 12 months of summer, beaches, boating, a great deal of wealth, awesome metro areas, attractive women, great football, friendly business policies, politically conservative, etc.
Florida will become like Atlanta - the “go to” landing spot for most SEC grads.
Nashville is alright, but the main attraction is a redneck touristy strip. Tampa will be fine - rent a sailboat or go deep sea fishing in the Gulf.
