You're 2 years removed from a 3 and 9 season where Miss State went 8 and 5. You made a bowl game but were nationally considered the most disappointing team in the entire country. Win something or at least live up to expectations, then talk smack. This is like watching a bum talkin' smack to the bag lady.

I'm fully aware of our worst 3 year stretch in history. But we had good seasons before that and good seasons after that. MSU has had 8 losing seasons this decade. Most of which are 2 and 3 win seasons. I'm not claiming national relevance or anything, but we are far from a doormat.

Lookie here, we've already got a kid lying about it.

screen grabs from Facebook show Lewis saying this Sunday: “MAN WE HAD SUM FUN ET STATE BUT MY FAVORITE PART WAS WEN WE WENT TO (THE PONY) OH YEAH!!!” Lewis said he removed the status when someone told him about the stir it was creating on the Internet. “I really didn’t even know what the Pony was,”

I'm not sure how he claims that it was a joke and not knowing what the pony is.
Where's the humor?

So I am assuming that most of you Rebels do not condone of the movie “Varsity Blues” because the kids went to a strip club?

MSU AD Greg Byrne pretty much admits that this did happen.

quote:

There has been much written during the past few days regarding last weekend’s football recruiting activities. As you may know, this past weekend a very limited number of football student-athletes and prospective student-athletes visited an establishment deemed impermissible by our recruiting rules and regulations.

Coach Mullen and I are disappointed in the poor decisions made by a small number of our student-athletes. We educate our young people repeatedly on the roles they play in representing their teams, the athletic department, the university, and the entire state of Mississippi. They know better.

Our defining principles include compliance with rules and regulations and representing our department in a first-class manner. To that end, we will meet with all of our student-athletes in the near future to reinforce the responsibility they have as representatives of this university to conduct themselves in a first-class way.

Our compliance department has concluded its review of the incident, and determined that the breach of policy was isolated, and will not affect the eligibility or future eligibility of any of those involved
