Stop blaming JMU for the ACC’s mistake

Everyone saying this is why the G5 shouldn’t get a spot in the playoff is missing the root of the issue: the ACC tiebreaker rules and ND refusing to join a conference.

If the ACC used playoff rankings instead of opponent win % as a tiebreaker, Miami would have played UVA and one of them would have gotten a guaranteed spot over JMU. And ND would have a spot.

Also, if ND would just join a conference they would have a shot at an auto bid like everyone else. Apparently they do have an auto bid but it doesn’t kick in until next year
