OK. When the money was announced, schools around the SEC started investing in their athletic departments. Some schools such as Arkansas for example always invest heavily in their ad's. (That'll do, Pig). and of course aTm has Texas money. Vandy doesn't tend to invest as much, but even they stepped up their budget fot this year. They didn't release all of the details in December and now we know why. So we are going from 55 million per year to about 300 million per year. This puts the SEC past the Big 10, at least until they renegotiate. Keep in mind we are talking tv revenue, and they have a lot more tv sets.
So the good of adding a program like Texas and all of their fans, and OU, a true blue blood program with many nc's to their credit is that it is a power move that ensures the SEC will survive all of the changes coming to college football.
