the players you talked about were given gifts by a booster and neither ever played at Clemson.

The ACC gave Clemson an extra year of probation on top of the NCAA year probation, it is rare for conferences to do this. The same ACC commish refuses to impose a conference probation on UNC which was using phony classes to keep atheletes eligible for at least 20 years. The reason is the commish is an UNC alumni.
