I have no idea if SC can bring in someone better but someone else needs to get a shot, regardless. After all, one NCAAT appearance in 8 years is unacceptable (9 after he misses out on the NCAAT this year). Not that I want SC to be bad, but I'd rather SC pay someone a lot less than he makes to do the same pathetic job. If we're going to say that Frank Martin is doing an acceptable job without trying to improve, then we may as well shut down the basketball program IMO.

Just my $0.02 worth from being a SC fan for close to 60 years.

Here's the thing about the final four argument: you don't pay a guy for what he did 4 years. You pay, or keep him based on what he is doing. Currently what he is doing is, like you've mentioned, not taking us to the postseason.

SC fans should know better than anyone with this last football hire, you better know who is waiting in the wings that is an upgrade from Frank.

Oh please dude shut it. One tournament in 9 years. Frank has lost it . There are coaches in mid major conferences that could put us in the tournament more consistently

I mean Frank cant recruit period. He clearly cant instill discipline (not even enough that they run the play that is called) and even if we do hire poorly, the results wont be any worse. Making the tournament is honestly all that matters in college basketball for programs that arent blue bloods. Its what coaches are judged on firstly, secondly how they do in the tournament (for the coaches that consistently make it there).
