You realize I don't speak for my school, right? I am fine with the decision in retrospect because it gives our guys rest, but that doesn't make it not look like you guys aren't dodging us now that you know we will be healed when we face you...

You all need to stop being pussies and get your AD to just agree to play the game.
I don't know what you think is going on, but you are basically admitting that you are a pussy and are glad that the game was postponed so your guys could get better. And then in turn, you are saying LSU is the one stopping the game from being played. The game was postponed because of Florida's failures, along with the commish.
I won't speak for all LSU fans, just myself. I want the game to be played. However, you cannot expect LSU to bend over backwards when Florida refused to do anything to allow the game to be played at its regularly scheduled time. We have a game scheduled in Tiger stadium on November 19th. LSU, and more importantly, Baton Rouge, is depending on the economic influx of an LSU game. We shouldn't have to give that up to pacify Florida. Logistically, there's just nothing available anywhere that doesn't put LSU out. Likewise, every other option affects many teams that have nothing to do with Florida's failure in this matter.
You say LSU fans should get over it and our ad should give im. I say Florida fans should recognize the fact that your school is the one that screwed this up. You failed at planning. There should always be contingency plans. And the Very fact is, LSU offered good contingency plans that would have allowed the game to be played in Gainesville. You guys said no. That's the bottom line.

How is it a probable win? LSU and the local economy dont want to lose 15-20 million dollars. I'm sorry if you can't understand that.

Who gives a frick what either AD wants or says

The Commissioner should have said, frick you both, and the game should be under both of our belts already with one fanbase melting about a loss

But it's ok for your AD to dodge the game now that Florida is looking at a probable win?

If that was the reason LSU AD was dodging, then you'd be correct. But it's not. LSU does not want to play a 3 games in 12 days to end the season. LSU doesn't want to lose a home game and all it's revenue.

YOU are the one that said UF did it to avoid the loss, and you are their fan. There is no fan alleging LSU won't reschedule out of fear of losing. Your argument failed.

This sums up the entire thing IMO.

The SEC botched this one, the 2 schools were looking out for their best interest, you can't really blame them.

Sankey fricked this whole thing up.

You guys are the only ones to think you offered up some "GREAT ALTERNATIVES".... the rest of the country just thinks you guys are selfish dickheads who wanted the game in Baton Rouge.

You guys didn't even start bitching about the Sunday/Monday thing until AFTER it was postponed. None of you offered that, you all said it should just be moved to Baton Rouge and that was that.

You admit that your AD and HC postponed a game to avoid a probable loss.

I think a pretty great alternative was offered when we said we would fly in play the game and fly back out on either Saturday, Sunday, or Monday. I do not think that it would have been fair to Florida to have the game in Baton Rouge. Of course that was offered, but I am not upset Florida did not take that offer. I'm upset that they did not take the offers we made to come to Gainesville to play. You chickened out, just admit it and let's move on. Your team and your school is a bunch of pussies.

Doesn't take a historian to go look back on Tiger Rant or this board to mid-week last week to see all of the threads that the game should not be played in Gainesville AT ALL over the weekend and that it should be played in Baton Rouge. You guys changed your tone ONLY after it was postponed. Go look for yourselves. This retrospective bitching was brought on by yourselves.

This has to be a troll. I wish my teams could just go hey can you guys just wait a month or so later we're really banged up over here and we don't want to play right now. Plus this idea of we only offered it to be played in Baton Rouge is absurd. We offered to fly in Sunday play the game and fly out.

Dude you sound stupid once the storm passed Friday evening, which it was clear Friday afternoon just a little windy they should have had the wheels already turning kinda like Miami did. Who by the way the storm actually came close to unlike Gainesville and as far as their families the Miami and FSU kids played so what makes UF any different.

how the SEC does not have an official rule on how to deal with a situation like this when you run the conference with the most hurricane and tropical weather in the country is beyond me

We can not really on the whims of whoever the commissioner is at the time to either force a game or let shite fester. This is how we get a mess like this and how we end up with inconsistency

Take it out of everyone's hand

not really sure what that has to do with what our AD did or did not offer to Florida

Blah, fricking blah, blah, blah...

The reason LSU wanted to play the game last weekend was that they knew it would be VERY difficult to reschedule otherwise - as is currently the case.

The reason LSU wanted to play in Baton Rouge last weekend was because there was a hurricane bearing down on Florida.

The reason LSU wanted to play in Gainesville on Sunday was because the hurricane was expected to be gone by then.

So, to sum up, last Wednesday LSU said we could play Saturday in BR, Florida said, no, in Gainesville Saturday.

Last Wednesday LSU said we could play Sunday in BR, Florida said, no, in Gainesville Saturday.

Last Wednesday LSU said we could play Sunday in Gainesville, Florida said, no, in Gainesville Saturday.

Last Thursday Florida said the game was cancelled.

LSU was discussing options last week, Florida simply rejected ALL options. That's why LSU looks reasonable and Florida looks like a bunch of pussies. Why is this so hard for you t o understand?

Why didn't Florida come up with any suggestions prior to the weekend?
