It's not nearly as fricking stupid as the Clangers claiming Leo signed with State purely out of a love for grinding... Certainly there weren't twenty-one thousand reasons why he signed. Have you ever read an article Dan's written about Ole Miss (of course you have) or listened to him talk about Ole Miss? It's convenient to venerate media figures whose agenda lines up with yours.

I know State doesn't have a j-school, but even y'all were able to recognize Godfrey's bias, so it's rather curious that y'all are so blind to Wolken's. And the Freeze/Briarcrest stuff stems from Hugh sparingly playing Wolken's niece who was on the girl's basketball team. Last I checked, journalists and other media members typically don't have articles proclaiming their biases in blatant enough terms apparently for you to understand, but feel free to check out any of the stuff he wrote about Ole Miss while at the Commercial Appeal or any of the dozens of articles he's written for USA Today about Ole Miss and the NCAA. You can find links to plenty of articles if you simply google "Dan Wolken Ole Miss." It's dumb as frick to claim he's reporting objectively, but feel free to continue

Link to where State didn't pay Leo? And "said this" is pretty vague. Dan's said a lot of stuff. He's more or less a weekly guest on Memphis sports radio, especially since he began covering the NCAA investigation, so search the archives on 92.9 ESPN and pick an interview out. There are plenty from which to pick. If freshmen in high school can adequately analyze the bias of a source, I'd hope you could too

They did investigate it....and then found no evidence to support his claim (just like Tunsil after draft night) and closed it. Did he get paid by state? Of course. Will the NCAA burn the school that gave them their biggest bullet in this case? Well of course not.
