I'm taking a play out of the Bama fans playbook and saying that we beat ourselves. fairly obvious too with all of the fumbles and short fields we gave them.
It's going to be funny next year when the tides have turned and we are cruising to the East championship because of a favorable schedule, while the dawgs and gators complain.

My point is, to say "how can we possibly lose next year since we won by so much this year" is just completely and utterly stupid and meaningless.
Maybe, unless is substantiated. You guys are losing possibly 9+ starters on defense and possibly 2+ on offense (depending on early outs). We are losing 2 on offense and 6 on defense. You will be missing more starters on defense alone than the Cocks in total.
You guys are going to keep your coaches and systems/schemes, which have helped us with 3 consecutive wins.
We also play you guys earlier in the season, which could very well mean (according to multiple years of history) that some of your projected starters will be suspended.
We've also won 2 of the last 3 games played in Athens, so it's not like we're attempting anything groundbreaking.

SC loses to UF and it's because SC gave them short fields and turnovers.
UF loses to UGA and it's because UF gave us too many turnovers.
Apparently according to SC fans a team can't just actually be better than another, it all comes down to which team gives the other team the game.

No. Yall may win the east, but you won't see UGA and UF fans complaining. We realize that it's a cyclical process and that's just the way the scheudling in this league goes. Everyone benefits from it and everyone is hurt by it at some point.

And all that makes sense. But CNB's post didn't mention any of that actual, logical, football stuff. It was just "well we won by a lot this year so we can't lose next year". And again, every single day is different. Last year's game was really, really close (and I'm not bringing up old arguments, but SC did score on several UGA miscues). It would be perfectly logical to think the 2012 game would be equally as close with what we returned, yet it was a 4 touchdown game. Things change constantly, what happened in October of 2012 will have no bearing whatsoever on what happens in September of 2013.

Why stop at the last 3? You're 3-3 since Richt has been here, and 2-2 since spurrier has been there. I'm not saying SC can't win in Athens because that's obviously not true, but history would show that it's been fairly even.
I'd also like to point out we were 2-1 in columbia since spurrier and 4-1 since Richt going into october. That didn't mean anything as it related to the 2 teams playing on that one day.

USC- 11 UF 44
Total yards: 191-183
Turnovers: 4-0
hmmmm, looks like we out gained them, but they scored 33 more points. wonder how that happened?
USC- 35 UGA- 7
Total yards: 392-224
Turnovers: 0-1
that's some domination
UF- 9 UGA- 17
Total yards: 266-273
Turnovers: 6-3
you saying yall would have still won if you didn't get those 6 turnovers? HIGHLY doubt it

Probably by the 4 turnovers genius. Last I checked, turnovers actually DO count as part of the games, and points as a result from them do count toward the final score.

Right. Where did anyone say otherwise?

Probably not, so it's a good thing we caused those turnovers.
Would SC have beaten UGA this year if we scored on every offensive play? Probably not. Lucky for yall that didn't happen.

I don't get youtube at work so I can't click your link, but since you're a SC fan and this is your first post I'll assume it's something totally clever like highlights from the game or something. Congrats on the win. I'm sure it'll go down as one of the all time greats in SC history.

no shite that's my point, UF benefited from our inexplicable fumbles(like they should have), but to say they beat us worse is stupid. it was clearly our own fault that we lost by so much and not because UF is just that superior of a team.

It's hilarious how some UGA fans post things one off-season, and then totally forget (and I'm thinking they're hoping others forget them too) what they posted, and turn totally the opposite direction when it serves them: YOU were one of the countless UGA fans here before the season that were constantly insisting that UGA was better than USC in 2011, but lost due to "fluke" turnovers and "fluke" STs plays....

No doofus. I never said we "should have won" or we got cheated or anything like that. The only thing that I ever tried to do again and again, and will still stick to, is the assertation that our defense gave up 45 points. That's not true. Everything I said was in relation to our DEFENSE, not that we should have won or any crap like that. Hell CNB even quoted me for a while, that our defense essentially only gave up 17 points. And they did. But I'm not saying that to say it was fluky or shouldn't count. It's only to stick up for our defense in that game.

You can start by learning how to hit the button next to the text box that says "quote". That will, not surprisingly, quote text instead of you having to copy and paste it.
And I didn't even learn that from a GT person either.

I know right, y'all should go ole dawgrant style and use outlandish assumptions, fervorous speculation, and unfounded truths.

The dawgrant is one of the worst message boards I've ever visited. I lurked/posted for about 3 months before giving up on that lot.
I will say they seem to be much better now that they've migrated to this board though.
