Yes tell us about 40 years prior to Saban? Every one of the Big 6 had aleast one title in that span but LSU.

So the 40 years prior to Saban?
Well....I realize this is the SEC Rant so objectivity will be difficult for the emotional lot here.

Everyone agreed that the inception of the BCS helped alter the playing field by actually letting the two "best" teams actually play each other. National champs were no longer strictly a media perception vote thanks to the use of computer analytics.

Then, we obviously got the playoff which everyone agrees is an improvement.

Since the inception of the BCS (1999) LSU has won 3 titles. In 1999, DiNardo's last season, LSU's record was 3-8 (1-8 in SEC) which should easily mean there was no National Title anywhere near Baton Rouge. Yet....3 different coaches and 3 titles and played for another one (which we all know against a team LSU beat on their opponent's home field).

Everyone knows Orgeron wasn't going to be able to sustain it at LSU. We have a competent AD and despite all your wishes we don't have any money-we do.
LSU is a national brand and that isn't going to change.

LSU won't compete for a national title every single year but will and should on average be able to field a team capable every 3-5 years, and should compete for the West almost annually.

You know it's true. It's ok to be scared we may get a massive coaching upgrade.

You should have just stopped here. The rest is just you theorizing what could be. Look forward to your next thread, "Suppose Nick Saban never left LSU"?
