Lets count what really counts non mythical national championship, (playoffs or 1-2 game at least)

Bama 6 or 7
LSU 3
Georgia 2
Texas 1

Everyone else 0000000000”

Unfortunate comment. The big 8 and SWC in the 1970s and 1980s were bigger and better than the SEC and that’s not a debate.

OU and Nebraska determined who played in the national championship for a generation.
Texas, Arkansas and SMU had epic matchups that also usually determined a national championship contender as well.
LSU pre Saban would’ve been HUMILIATED by Switzer-Osborne-Aikers teams.
