Depriest liked the way Bama sent him his scholarship offer.
.....
"Most colleges send football scholarship offers over the fax machine. Alabama’s offer to Springfield High School’s Trey DePriest arrived through the mail on 8½-by-11 glossy paper, unbent and unblemished."
"Alabama offered DePriest a scholarship in December. They sent two glossies — one to his home, and another to head coach Rick Robertson at the school.
“The way they did it was luxury,” DePriest said."
Depriest could roll with Bama

SIAP - Scout Top 150 for 2011 is out.
correct me if I'm wrong, and I'm sure bama fans will,..but isn't Scout the publication that is so well sponsored in state by bama fans?...
Rivals was founded by a Bama grad. Until this year the claim from LSU and Auburn fans has been that there is a Rivals Bammer bias. Auburn fans talked about boycotting the service and how bammers controlled the media so they could destroy AU. According to them, Scout was the only legit service. Magically, when Rivals bece the only recruiting service on the Internet to rank Auburn ahead of Bama, they have all become sworn alliances of the Rivals network. Go figure.

People on this board are pretty damn critical of Scout. ESPN is easily the worst, although I like their writeups on individual players.
Standard thought from what i've seen is.
Scout: for information (especially for LSU)
Rivals: for rankings, evaluations
ESPN: for evaluations only
