It has been. As stated in the article I linked, it was presented to the BOT earlier this year.

I sometimes wonder if Bama would have played at Legion Field this year if that tornado hit BDS. I'm glad it didn't though.

Bammers think they own UAB.. The stadium would only hold about 30k, which is perfect for UAB.. UA keeps holding UAB back. I really think with the right coach and new facilities UAB could take some of ALabama's recruiting base in the BHAM area

I sometimes wish UAB would just part ways with the UA system. UAB is a fantastic school and would do fine on its own.
With the right and coach and newer facilities, UAB could definitely be a player in C-USA. I'm not sure they could take some of UA or AU's recruits, but they'd definitely get better recruits than they have now.

UAB is the cash crop of the UA system.. They need to get away from the system.. But as long as they are apart of it they will never be relevant in football..
QUICK HITTER...
What was the last SEC school to lose a football game to UAB and who coached at that school?

I can assure you its not fear. Bama and UAB will never compete for the same recruits as they do in BBall.

Because UAB football is a drain on the system.

LSU with Saban (last SEC school I remember losing to UAB).

UAB should be a player in football. Only reason is because of UA holding little brother back.

Do you have a link to facts that back up this claim?

WHEN(yes when)UAB gets either its own on-campus stadium or a stadium with the City of Birmingham they will become a player in football. first, within CUSA, then knocking off BCS teams in OOC play. Its just a matter of time..
