My 2 cents - baseball, as a youth sport is EXPENSIVE when compared to basketball, track, and football.
Nowadays, the bats are $300 +, the cost of practicing, ie cages and pitching machines, and elite players are doing travel ball WAY too young - they start a like, 7 years old.
Travel elite soccer is the same way.
Whereas, track, basketball, and football can be practiced in a backyard or driveway, with the only family financial investments being a pair of shoes and a ball.
And that concludes my "Soccer/Baseball Mom" lesson for the evening.
