Umm. As someone who made the 26 hour round-trip drive to Atlanta in 2014…I’m going to go ahead and say the 6 hour drive to Nashville would have been just *slightly* more convenient……just a wild thought there through.

If you took 14 hours to make the round trip from Atlanta to Nashville I’d think about buying a new car or GPS cause it’s about a 10 hour round trip in Traffic. Easy 8 hour round trip usually….

There is some truth to this. I recently priced out a trip to Nashville for the UGA-Vandy game this year and room rates were insane if you wanted to be anywhere near walking distance to any of the "cool stuff".

Nashville has fewer motel rooms than comparably sized town in the US according to the industry and new construction and planned construction is being outpaced in Atlanta, Charlotte and most of Florida. Nashville is as expensive as London, Paris and Tokyo as far as motel rooms is concerned. It is RIDICULOUSLY expensive to overnight in Nashville

You’d be 100% correct away from the downtown area….if your planning to stay near the Benz and walk to bars and restaurants there are thousands of options but they won’t be what you’ll find in Huntsville or Jackson. And most likely they will be owned by and most of the patrons will be…brace yourself…not white folks (imagine the horror). Atlanta does indeed have the national chains so beloved by folks who vacation in PCB and Orlando and you can get there from downtown by going a couple of stops away from the Benz on the train in any direction. If you’ve been hungry, thirsty or bored around Mercedes Benz it’s because you got off the train or out of the car and did not stray from the flow to the stadium. There is no shortage of bars, restaurants and entertainment in the area….what’s lacking is a sense of adventure and a desire to do something different and unknown.

Downtown Atlanta is trashy. It’s arguably the trashiest major city in the South aside from New Orleans.

That talking point was debunked years ago. The Braves have the 8th highest payroll in MLB.

Hell I bet you have to connect in ATL just to get from KCI to Nashville.

If you fly through Delta, then this may be true. There are plenty of direct flights from BNA to MCI.

Yeah, I dunno where he came up with that. Atlanta's metro is almost 3x the size of Nashville.

Only cuz it’s a hub. Nobody is traveling to go to atl.

Not true. But if it were, how would that change anything. It still has the most flights, best connections etc.

I have no problem with Nashville, but some of the hoops y'all jump through seem convoluted.
