What we don't know is whether the QB's action is the same when faking the handoff and then throwing a backward pass to the trailer to the right. You'd have to see play set to know for sure. The look back to the runner after handing off could be a decoy action setting up the pitch. If so, the defense gets a little more leeway before earning a flag so a warning would be appropriate; especially early in a game. 1st qtr warnings go a long way to prevent fouls later in the game.

spikes' punishment is a bit severe. i think meyer succumbed to pressure.

Severe!? He should have been suspended, at the very minimum, for one game. And I think Georgia should have been able to pick the game. This half a game shite is a disgrace.

If you tevo'd the game check out the last play of the 3rd quarter. Tebow runs right and is tackled, #51 reaches around his helmet and then Tebow runs off field to get his eyes washed (on camera). Not as clear a shot as the Spikes video so no one makes a stink about it.
