Which says a couple of things:
Total TD's isn't a good predictor of record, obviously.
If you look at (TD's for)/(TD's for and against):
Alabama 78.2%
LSU 66.3%
Mizzou 65.3%
Auburn 65.1%
South Carolina 64.2%
Texas A&M 59.2%
Georgia 56.4%
Ole Miss 56.1%
Which is a somewhat better indicator. Add in God being on Auburn's side to throw everything off, and you have a good prediction method:
1. Is God obviously on your side? If yes, skip #2 unless there's a tie.
2. Total TD's/(Total TD's + TD's allowed)
