It's a marketing correction because Miami is going to be in the playoffs and Vanderbilt isn't. They want to say Miami deserved the spot more than Vanderbilt.

Please note that they dropped Vandy down in the poll. After the win over Tennessee. Please explain that one to me.
I guess the argument would be Miami beat #22 Pitt on the road 38-7, which was slightly more impressive than Vandy beating #19 Tennessee on the road 45-24. And Vandy had a narrow edge over Miami in the previous poll.
But I would be curious to note how often a team beats a ranked opponent on the road by more than 20 points and drops in the poll. Like in the 90 year history of AP polls, how often has that happened?

Do you really think that the committee is not being manipulated by ESPN and the media in general ???
How else will they push Miami into the bracket without diminishing other contenders?

Miami is not in their conference championship game and they have two losses to teams considered inferior and unranked. Sounds like a playoff team to me.
