It is also now being reported that Coach Pittman was told by the officials he could not decline the penalty and the :10 run off was mandatory. Which is another incorrect call from that crew.

What a cluster frick

The pass was backward, no video evidence is bullshite. Not being able to decline the 10 sec runoff was bullshite. Our coach saying he thought about winning the game on 3rd down but decided to run the ball and punt us also bullshite. Love the guy and hope he steps on their throats next time he has the chance. (Yes, I remember Stoerner)

Typical SEC officiating cop out. A bunch of bull shite to cover a crap call. Arkansas won the game and got screwed by an incompetent crew that didn’t have the guts to make the right call.

There are issues about why the ref blew the whistle and many players stop right away and some went ahead after the football then stopped again. It was confusing. That is why the Whistle comes first. It was confusing players and at that point there was no clear recovery when the play was whistled dead. The whistle was NOT blown after the defense recovered the football.

There would have been no fg. Spike was a 0:28. Play it out to recovery takes several more seconds, then AU has to run the FG team out on the field, the ref has to spot the ball, and they have to get the play off. It wasn’t happening no matter who recovered.

Lol, wut? Even taking a 10 second run off 18 seconds is more than enough time to set the ball and kick a field goal.

The whistle has no effect of there is a clear and immediate recovery... Which there was.

The only problem with that is that had the whistle not been blown, all of the players would have been scrambling for the ball, not just a couple of players making half-arsed attempts. The blowing of the whistle clearly had an effect on the play.

At that point, I'm not sure what else they could have done, other than replay the down. That probably would not have helped Arkansas either.

Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good, especially if you are not very good.

It wasn't the only would've / should've moment in the game, however. A single play seldom is.

Yeah, we are pretty good at kicking last second field goals -- we practice it.

Pretty much the worst scenario happened for Arkansas . The referee blowing the whistle before the recovery, the grounding call, the 10 second runoff. It happened, it sucks but Arkansas has to get prepared for Ole Miss because their offense is legit.

Arkansas forgot it’s a 60 min game which they led for 4 minutes. Auburn 56.

The shame of it is, 2 days after the fact it's the topic of discussion on many of the college football shows this morning.
Bottom line, another flukey call or play happened at JH benefitting the home team.

How do you figure? Last year we lost 51-10 with Chode Morris as coach, this year we fought our asses off and should have won that game.
