Yeah I live in the new section of Vestavia. Love the area. It reminds me alot of 100 hundred oaks in Baton Rouge.
I bet daniel Payne got hit hard. Pretty much the area from the 65/20 exchange to gardendale got hit hard.

haha thats very true, im more on the west side closer to hoover. I was much happier going to Vestavia than I would have been going to Mountain Brook I think.

Guido checking in. I work in the woodsquare shopping center that was destroyed. I actually barely got to cover and when I get pics from people and you guys see my aftermath video, you'll be asking me how the he'll I survived. I can't even answer that. I should be dead. We all hid in a hallway towards the back room of my store. The lights flickered and then everything was blown into the front of the store. Washing machines went flying, the whole back room caved in...I was thrown into a refrigerator and a 5 cubic ft freezer pinned me against the wall. I closed my eyes while I was being thrown around, telling myself I was about to die...then it was over, and I walked out with a couple scrapes, cuts, and bruises.
As we walked out I grabbed a video camera from the display case. I went outside to take some shots and we heard people in full moon BBQ yelling for help. They were trapped in the rubble. I started on them and we heard others In on time fashion screaming for help. We pulled 3 out of there one girls back was broken and a guys leg was broken. Everyone from the shopping center was accounted for......I don't know if any of you guys have seen this shopping center but it was leveled...
Scariest time of my life. I literally thought I was going to die. My car is totaled, I have no phone, and I'm so damn sore.....but I'm alive.

Holy shite that is crazy red. I heard that people locked themselves in the freezer at Full Moon. I Am amazed that anyone survived in that area

They were locked in the freeer. I can still hear their screams and the girl whose back was broken screamed bloody murder the entire time. I can't keep replaying the whole thing over and over in my mind. It's so freaking crazy. I will never take severe weather lightly again.

keep thinking of other folks...some who don't post a lot,but still---'DvlsAdvct' or however he spells it. He's mentioned going to Moody or Leeds for HS and they got hit by the first wave early yesterday morning. An Auburn guy, 'MarshallCotiger'--Albertville and Boaz were hammered by that one that went through Cullman yesterday afternoon.
