Oh lord. We're seriously trying to define what steps are and when it counts while theres nothing even in the rules that say he must take multiple or even one step. So this argument is stupid. Sternberger thought he fumbled. Threads on your board thought he fumbled. Watching football for 20 years I thought it was a fumble call me crazy, stupid, whatever. All we had to do was get one first down. Couldn't do it= Aggie deserved the win.

I think it was it really close call, to be completely honest had it been called a fumble on the field it would’ve been upheld. But since it was such a close call and it was called an incomplete pass on the field the correct thing to do for the replay official was to uphold it

Missed false start in OT, 1st & 15 at 30 instead of 1st &10 at 14.

Well dick cheese two steps is no where in the rules . So who cares if it was 1.23456 steps . You can count steps that are not in the rule while Im watching what his hands are doing .

According to the replay officials the ball was still in the process of being “tucked “ when the contact occurred

Again no where does it say in the rules the ball must be "tucked " to constitute a catch or possession. He caught the ball turned to tuck it and got hit then fumble . In order to tuck the ball you first have to catch it . This isnt very hard . Ask Sterncheeseburger , his reaction to the play said it all.
