Don't know how I could forget about Cooper.

Did not know Capshaw went to Mizzou. I only saw her in the Temple of Doom and The Quick and the Dead.

Yes, Jon Hamm is a Mizzou guy. So is Brad Pitt. Tom Berenger. Chris Cooper. Kate Capshaw. There are a lot of Hollywood types with Mizzou connections.

Tom Berenger lives here in SC most of the time these days. Been to his crib in Beaufort (before he bought it) and past it since ... it's nice, on the water. He's a regular all along the coast and is a regular at SC ballgames often with Bill Murray.

Berenger fell in love with SC, according to him, when he was filming "The Big Chill." He's done a couple of movies in the state since.

"Deliverance" was filmed near the corner of Georgia, Alabama, and my(ex) Tennessee. They have been remarkebly quiet in this thread.

Yup.

I did not know Capshaw and Steven Spielburg are married. I never really followed the holleywood scene.

Hey Kate, maybe you and Steve can donate some Cash to Ol' Mizzou.

Berenger is a nice guy. He's been in the restaurant a couple of times. Always very gracious, very nice. The house he bought belonged to a family member on my wife's side. He and his wife gave her a nice present - he went above and beyond, really make a big impression in the area. And we're not really all that wowed by hollyweirdos around here but he's the exception to the rule. Can't say enough good things about him and his generosity.

What kind of restaurant do you own? That's cool! I'm not surprised he's a good guy - he was never really the "Hollywood" type like Brad Pitt is.

To clarify, I did not know him, but we dated a few times when we were both freshman at Mizzou, and he was still Tom Moore. My future husband actually introduced us.

Scrooster, he was a nice guy then too. He looked like a young Paul Newman, and he made the most of it. Always doing Newman imitations, and liked the attention. He was bound for an acting career. We loved it when he made it in Hollywood, as we knew him when...

Mizzou is more the "dirty" south than the "debutante" south.

Agree, compare that to the SEC pimp movie
"The Blind Side". Freeze was the actual pimp, Saban appeared as a prostitute.
