App State looked as bad as any non sub 300 KenPom team I’ve ever seen in TBA last week. Don’t think their offense got them a single clean look in the game. They just dribbled around and chucked up heavily contested 3s and prayed it would go in or they could get a scramble opportunity on the rebound.
They had 38 points in the game and 19 total points in the game that weren’t from free throws or second chance points.

Powell and Thor both look pretty promising. Flanigan will be very good in that system too.
Cambridge really needs his minutes taken though. Really hard to watch.

That was definitely more of a Tennessee thing. App st isn’t that bad.

They must have just gotten frustrated because they were not executing anything against Tennessee. Not even running sets or trying to throw it in to the post or running continuity. Just dribbling around for 20 seconds near mid court and then hoisting contested jumpers up. They looked worse offensively than Tennessee Tech who is 330 or so in KenPom.

Don't get me wrong, App st isn't good offensively but Tennessee just did an amazing job.
Very early in the season but for stretches Tennessee has looked like as good of a defense team as I have ever seen.
That Colorado team they beat the 1st game is very good

We're going to struggle defensively against any team with quick guards. I'd like to see Pearl mix in a little bit more zone to take advantage of our length but that's not Pearl's style.
