In the future there will be 2 Super conferences…SEC and Big Ten. Similar to NFL with NFC and AFC. Each conference will determine a champion who will meet in the College Super Bowl.
Expansion of each conference especially Big Ten with geography issues implies that money will prevail in the end.

Ratings will plummet ?
If you took the 12 games that were playoff games and compare them to the same 12 games that were bowl games last year and several years before I’d be shocked if ratings weren’t double what they had been in the past
