Frost also knows that his natty at Nebraska in 97 was a joke. Had the BCS been in effect that year, they would have played Michigan or FSU. Both of those teams had a defense that would have shutout Nebraska. FSU was the best team in the nation that year but ran into Spurrier in Gainesville and lost.
Michigan, Florida, and Florida State were all better than Nebraska that year.
Nebraska was lucky to get matched up against the Peyton Vols, which were notorious underachievers and all-around losers in big games.
Nevertheless, we can all thank Auburn for making the SEC look bad. Just like when they played FSU in 2013.

They would've played Michigan after we knocked off #1 FSU as 14-30 point dogs.
Disagree though. FSU may have been better than Nebraska but they would've kicked the absolute shite out of us.
What must people don't know is that Nebraska was still #2 in the Coaches poll but then Osborne announced he was retiring and they made Peyton Manning cry in the Orange Bowl.

On the second page of the article, he admits that Auburn didn’t care about the game also. Truly remarkable character, he is obviously a God- fearing young coach that genuinely cares about his players.
