Yes because teams have ups and downs then permanently scheduling UF is the same as permanently scheduling Vandy!

You people must be stupid.

I think it's clear that both UGA and Alabama were the biggest beneficiaries of the bridge schedules, but it was inevitable that someone would benefit and someone would get a harder schedule.

I'm not sure why this made primarily LSU fans so intent on scrapping the permannet opponent model, which isn't the cause of the imbalance at all. Not playing everyone is.

Disgree with Point 4. Yes teams are up and down but the cycles are not even across the board. You are more likely in a given year to find some programs more up than others. Rotating the schedules at least provides more randomness.

Remember, we are looking for schedule equality, which is in the best interest of all.

Could we make cross-divisional games count as half games? It would only make sense to count them less than divisional opponents since we are trying to determine divisional champions.

We are noticing it more because there is a recent imbalance between LSU and Bama and it drives LSU fans fricking crazy.
You hit that nail on the head.

9 games

Rotating cross-divisional opponents

cross-divisional opponents count as half-games in the divisional standings

What is wrong with this? We don't need permanent cross-divisional rivals in the SEC. Hell, we're ALL RIVALS to some extent. That's the beauty of this conference.

Every sport in the world counts games against other divisions equally to inter-division games.

That's why this whole "only count your division" talk is stupid.

Why wouldn't this logic apply to NFL divisions or MLB ones?
