Throughout last night's drubbing, all I could think is that Tulane really screwed up when they parted ways with Scelfo. I'll always be a proud Scelfo guy.

How so? He took a Chevy Cavalier and turned it into a Yugo. Tommy Bowden got them to 12-0 (Scelfo could have coached that bowl game from the press box while eating a shrimp po boy sandwich and they still would have won.) quickly and the program had legit NFL Talent. Correct me if I'm wrong but it went downhill fast. I think the BIGGEST mistake that Sandy Barber made was NOT hiring Rich Rodriguez (the OC for Bowden) who actually wanted the job instead of hiring Scelfo.
