We’ve seen a mixture of returning talent (Tremont Waters should get some preseason All-American love) and a top-five recruiting class go poorly at LSU before. This ranking is based on the fact that Will Wade seems to know what he’s doing.

wade's been on campus 15 months and has lsu ranked. what's more amazing is where lsu's roster was 15 months ago. i don't expect the tigers to finish in the top 4 of the sec because state, uky, auburn and tenn are at least a year ahead of lsu in program status/building/whatever and the tigers will have a lot of new faces. lsu should be about on par with fla for 5 and 6. ark, mizz, a&m, bama, vandy are a toss up for 7-11. vandy will surprise some people.

This and the energy is on a different level.

quote:well, he's not perfect. lsu had a potential tourney spot on the line in the last 3 road games and looked atrocious. i was hoping by that point in the season wade would have been able to at least get them to look like they were interested in the tourney. then the abomination at utah. so, i'm hoping to see tremendous improvement in road games. of course, winning on the road in the sec is tough but, the best coaches are going to get it done. we'll see how he does with that.
This and the energy is on a different level.
it's interesting listening to his postgame conferences. he admits he should have done this instead of that. talks about his strategy and how he scouted the other team. a lot of it is coaching hunches and gambles. some pay off. some don't but he's willing to admit his strategy doesn't always work. i think that says a lot about how much he's willing to keep learning and preparing.
loving the bball talk!
