He can come be OC at Alabama again. Would be good timing as I'm sure Bill O'Brien will be moving back to a head coaching job after next season.

But any one in the AD who remotely thinks he is a future HC candidate should promptly get throat punched.

We'll see how he does in year 2. If there isn't a major improvement, then I would can him before joining a tougher conference. When he left I wondered how much was the success his play calling and how much was calling plays for Saban recruits. I mean, how much of his success was the result of calling plays for better overall athletes?

Mostly it was better overall athletes.

Although there is something to be said for getting the most out of them, and he seemed to do that better than most.

Just not sold on him being able to run a program. People can learn from their mistakes, but he averages 7 wins a year over his entire career as HC.

I can't imagine them firing him after only two seasons.

It is a whole lot easier to call plays for superior athletes, so that;s something i hadn't really considered and a good point.

Sark is a really good OC, JUST does not have what it takes to be a good HC..

I hope the pressure to win doesn't drive him back to the bottle.

It’s the job, but the man being spineless doesn’t really help. Takes a different kind of coach to win at that cesspool. Funny thing is Herman was winning. He just pissed off the fan base too much
