uote] do you remember how convinced LSU fans were that he was going to leave Alabama after like 2 years and go back to LSU?[/quote
Never heard an LSU fan say this.
lolz,plenty did..
So I am lying? I never have heard this, sounds like something you guys created. Saban's gone and that is his decision, I wish him the best.

I can only remember the rumors of Saban being the next coach if Miles went to Michigan in 2007, and I don't even remember that having much substance.

Someone asked yesterday if you believe half the shite you post. I answered probably. I think I'm right on that one.

Your post is late, the momentum is gone. I knew he wasn't serious. On another note, is that a 1911 in your avatar? I carried one of those when I was in the Army.
Yeah I was just posting to be an a-hole
It is a 1911. Kimber that has been worked over by custom shop. One of my favorite handguns

In 07 when Michigan was pressing hard for him, I heard Gruden and Jack Del Rio rumored, but never Saban.

I have no idea if it would have happened, but I know for a fact that there was a push to make it happen and at this point Saban was not settled in at all at Bama (remember, they lost 6 games that year) and was receptive to the idea. After they went 12-2 in 2008 that window closed permanently.

A push by who? CLM went 11-2, 11-2, 12-2 2005-2007 respectively, why would this be? I honestly don't recall that.

Not to fire Miles but if he had taken the Michigan job. My step mom was on the TAF board at the time.

Oh, okay, that makes sense. Saban was a proven winner.

At that point he still thought of leaving LSU as a huge mistake and the place where he could be the DRK/Neyland of. He thought of Alabama as a place where he would never be truly accepted because of Bryant. Obviously that has changed at this point but this is how he felt circa November/December of 2007 and was open to coming back although it was far from a done deal.

Nah, just ironing out past happenings, what's really true and what's not. It's all good.

Do we know he wasn't referring to the first time he went fishing at his lake house?

Saban's got more balls than me. No way I'm letting Lasers get close to my eyeballs.
